LARAMIE—The first annual Red Desert Photo Show and contest, sponsored by Biodiversity Conservation Alliance, will open in downtown Laramie on December 3rd and 4th. The show will be held at 205 Grand Street in downtown Laramie. The show opening and contest judging will occur from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday evening in conjunction with the monthly Gallery Walk, and refreshments will be served. The photographs will be on display and offered for sale all day on Saturday as well.

The show features the work of amateur and professional photographers from Wyoming and neighboring states, in the categories of Landscapes as well as Flora and Fauna. Each image will be offered for sale, with part of sale proceeds going to the photographer and the remainder benefiting Biodiversity Conservation Alliance’s campaign to protect sensitive lands in the Red Desert.

“We have received outstanding entries from both professionals and amateurs,” said Erik Molvar of Biodiversity Conservation Alliance. “We invite everyone to stop by and view these spectacular images, and perhaps purchase a unique, one-of-a-kind gift that shows off Wyoming’s beauty.”
