NEWS ADVISORY FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Biodiversity Conservation Alliance of Laramie Announces Celebration Saturday September 23 LARAMIE – Biodiversity Conservation Alliance today announced its "Badger Ball" to celebrate the third annual member meeting and auction. Revelers will be treated to live music by Kyle Chitty, dinner by Wild Oats and Sweet Melissa's Vegetarian Cafe, refreshments by Altitude's Chophouse and Brewery and Redstone Meadery. They will also be able to participate in a live auction, and the annual member meeting. "Last year's celebration was a great success, and we have new donors and auction items that will make this year even better," commented Maggie Schafer, BCA's Community Outreach Organizer. "We're excited to be able to offer such auction items as a day trip from JJ Llamas with gourmet lunch, original artwork by Linda Lillegraven and Betty Lou Morrison, and trips to Tokyo and Alberta with airfare and hotel. And the excellent food and refreshments together with live music will make for a lively and entertaining evening." The Badger Ball will take place in Centennial's Snowy Range Lodge, on Barber Lake Road, starting at 5pm this Saturday, September 23. Admission requires membership in BCA ($35, $20 low-income, available at the door) and $10 per plate ($5 low-income, kids eat free).
Biodiversity Conservation Alliance is a Laramie-based nonprofit conservation group dedicated to protecting wildlife and wild places in Wyoming and surrounding states, particularly on public lands. "People who value the wildlife and wild places that make our state so special are the center of this event; it's really a celebration of them," stated Ms. Schafer.
