Help Protect Adobe Town: Attend the Adobe Town Conservation Summit and Make a Difference!

Town Meeting forum to be held in Rock Springs July 8th

Adobe Town is the crown jewel of Wyoming’s Red Desert.  At 180,910 acres, Adobe Town is Wyoming’s largest and most spectacular desert wilderness.  Stretching 26 miles north to south and 19 miles east to west, this is one of the last places in Wyoming where visitors can take in views of pristine landscape that stretch from horizon to horizon.  Even though it is one of the wildest desert landscapes in the world, it is easily accessible to visitors on foot and horseback.  Adobe Town offers outstanding opportunities for hunting, wildlife viewing, camping, rockhounding, hiking and photography.

Come join BCA and other conservation groups and expert panelists, from a broad array of backgrounds, who will make presentations and field questions and comments from the public regarding various management options for conservation of Adobe Town.  This is a great opportunity to learn more about conserving this special place and voice your opinion on how to protect Adobe Town and balance energy development with conservation.

By attending this summit,  you can add your voice to the voices of others who want to see that this unique area is protected now and into the future – don’t be left out of an event that may be instrumental in the decisions that will be made by officials regarding Adobe Town’s future!

The summit will be held at the Atrium at Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs. It will begin at 10:30 AM and end at approximately 4:00 PM.
