PLEASE TESTIFY AT THE ADOBE TOWN HEARING NEXT WEEK

NEED A RIDE?

The public hearings on the 'Very Rare or Uncommon Designation' for Adobe Town will be held Wednesday, October 24th, and Thursday, October 25th, by the Environmental Quality Commission (EQC). The hearings will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Bureau of Land Management Field Office in Rock Springs, 280 Highway 191 N. in the Pilot Butte Conference Room.

The EQC will adjourn at 4:00 p.m. on the 24th for their regular meeting and will start hearing public testimony again around 5:00 ONLY IF people are waiting to testify. Otherwise, the Commission will adjourn for the evening. The EQC will continue to hold public hearings on the Adobe Town designation on the following day beginning at 9:00 a.m. again ONLY IF people are waiting to testify.

Opponents will be out in force. We need to get as many pro-Adobe Town supporters to the public hearings to testify as possible. Adobe Town, because of its historical, pre-historical, archaeological, geographical, scenic and wildlife values, is deserving of this designation and protection.

If you live in Laramie and need transportation or want to car pool, please call 307 742-7978 to make arrangements. If we have enough people, we will be happy to provide a van.
